“ I really like coming here for dinner and take out. Sit down is always the best but the to go is quick and very good. To go is pay by the pound. There is always a large salad bar and steam table with at least 20 different options. From green salad to macaroni salad and fresh fruit and vegetables to choose from. Then the steam table usually has two kinda of rice and a plethora of meat and vegetarian options to choose from. Peril, lasagna, plantains, chicharrons, stewed meat, beans, etc. For to go you love to the meat station and pick from the many different choices that are on the grill. There is always wings, sausages, turkey wrapped in bacon, chicken wrapped in bacon, brisket, pork loin, grilled pineapple, chicken hearts, sirloin and other options are also available. For the Rodizio style sit down, flip your marker to green and get ready. They will come around with large skewers and start slicing off delicious grilled food right onto your dish. You can also visit the salad bar / steam table as many times as youd like. There is an attached bar that has a decent assortment of beer, mixed drinks, and wine. As long as your marker is on green they will keep coming. Come hungry!!! When you are ready to stop or dessert, flip your marker to red. At that point yoy can finish up and grab your check or you can choose of their desserts. Flan, tres leches, Brazilian truffles, all very very good. Try to go and sit down to eat but if you dont have time you can get takeout and it is just as good! ”

“ Open only weekends during Covid19 terms . They still made a Sunday night fantastic for hubby & I. We had a Groupon for the Tasting Table and had to finally use it before it expired . We made reservations the night before . They only had a few tables being served tonight ,so pretty nice . They have safety guidelines throughout the place and a sanitizer station when you walk in. The buffet station has you put on gloves before you handle things there and barriers around it. The Tasting Table has your waiter bringing over various slabs of meat to try (tongs there for you) . We also got two alcohol drinks and dessert with this Groupon. We got the same one Garato de Ipanema that has Vodka,gin,tequila, rum,midori,oj,passion fruit juice & blue curacoa(12) The dessert was Caramel Flan. The entire staff was friendly and the food phenomenal. The steak was the best !!!! ”

For what you'd pay $100/person for in Boston or NYC you pay a max of $30/person for here: delicious meat, with great service, and authentic pairings. Don't let the area fool you, this is a block over from the Main Street is West Haven and a gem of an experience for those willing to risk escaping the high brow, high ticket New Haven dining scene. For the skinny wallet crowd, check the specials menu (great HH deals at the bar or Mon-Thu all you can eat lunch for $10.99). Any other day if not famished consider the "by-the-pound" meal option: same great food bar and meat selection, but often more than sufficient for a solid pound of food at less than $10/person/plate (seriously, when was the last time you ate four 1/4 pounders in a row?). Never had a bad experience here so bring your empty stomach and get your grub on at the best Brazilian steakhouse in southern CT. ”
